Local Outreach:
Highways & Hedges
"And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." (Luke 14:23)
The outreach ministry of Calvary Baptist Church is designed to fulfill the mandate of the "Great Commission" to evangelize the lost and to disciple believers. Outreach is the responsibility of every member and is inseparably linked with church growth. Isaiah 54:2 declares to Israel, "Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lenthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes." By the same token, it is Calvary Baptist Church's desire to enlarge its tent by lengthening the cords and strengthening its stakes through the dual ministry of evangelism and discipleship.
SCI Pine Grove
"Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them;" (Hebrews 13:3)
We believe it is our responsibility to share the gospel wherever and whenever the opportunity is presented. Such an opportunity is available through our prison ministry at SCI Pine Grove in Indiana, PA. This ministry is comprised of committed men who go to the prison weekly to conduct a Bible study and give the gospel to men who are ready and willing to listen. They also hold a bi-monthly service on the first Sunday of the corresponding month. Each Christmas, the choir of Calvary Baptist has a special service for them as well.
CFFL
Beginning in April of 2009, Calvary Baptist Church introduced a men's adult flag football league. The league is currently looking forward to it's 4th season which will begin in March 2012.
Teams consist of at least 10 players (rosters may have up to 15 players). All players must be at least 18 years of age or older by the day of their first regular season game and must be able to show proper proof of age. Each player on a team's roster is responsible to pay $35. This fee covers the cost for equipment, referees, and team jerseys.

Missions:
The purpose of the missions program of Calvary Baptist Church is to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 24:44-49; Acts 1:8) by supporting the spread of the gospel locally and unto the uttermost parts of the earth. The primary emphasis of the missions program is the establishing of independent, fundamental, indigenous, local, Baptist churches (Ephesians 3:10; 1Timothy 3:15) both at home and abroad. A secondary consideration is the support of ancillary ministries (medical, Bible institutes, translation work, camps, tentmakers, construction, mission boards, etc.) that contribute directly to the planting of such churches.
