Pastor Jeffers is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and was saved as a teenager while attending the Bill Rice Ranch in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. After enrolling in the ROTC program at Georgia State University for one year, Pastor Jeffers transferred to Bob Jones University where he graduated in 1974 with a B.A. in History and a minor in Greek. He then completed a Master of Divinity degree in 1978 at Central Baptist Theological Seminary. He also completed a master’s degree in Theology in 1983.
Rick has been a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church. He has been integrally involved in ministry since his mother led him to Christ when he was 7 years old. Rick graduated from Bob Jones University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. A few years later, he moved back to his hometown and continued to serve at Calvary. In 1999, Rick officially became the Assistant to Pastor, a role which includes managing the finances of the church.
Mike grew up in a military family and was saved at the age of 9 at a small church in Paris, Tennessee where he realized he was a sinner and needed to have a Savior who would forgive his sins. He attended Bob Jones University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education in 1979 and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership 2002. He and his wife, Mary Vick, came to Calvary in 1996 to fill the position of Administrator at Calvary Baptist Academy.
Lucas grew up in Vermont and was saved at the age of 15. It was during his senior year of high school that he felt the Lord leading him toward full time ministry. In pursuit of those desires, he earned a bachelor’s degree in youth ministries and a master’s degree in pastoral studies from Bob Jones University. Upon completion of their respective degrees, Lucas and his wife, Kellie, were married and began their search for the ministry the Lord would have for them.
Ben grew up in a good Christian home and made a profession of faith at the age of 5. However, he struggled with doubts and fears concerning his salvation for many years. During his sophomore year of college, he responded to an invitation having realized that he had never established a relationship with Christ.
Karen has faithfully served in the church office since 2005. Having grown up as the daughter of a pastor, she was saved at a young age. She received reassurance of her salvation when she was 11 and has been serving the Lord ever since. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1993. She and her husband, Scott, have been attending Calvary since 1995.
